The BANK OF AFRICA Foundation has just built a fundamental school in Sirakoroni, less than 100 km from Bamako. It consists of 6 classrooms and an office for its Director, for a hundred children.
Built in banco and straw, the old school represented a real danger for children and the images speak for themselves.
The launching ceremony of the buildings, which will have cost 70 million CFAF (approximately 107,000 euros), took place on January 26, 2023 and was accompanied by a handover of supplies to the students.
The local authorities and Bank officials present invited the parents to continue enrolling the children in school and the inhabitants offered a sheep and chickens as a sign of gratitude.
