Since 1985, every 1^st June in Benin marks the celebration of the National Tree Day (JNA). This year, BOA-BENIN accompanied the Consumer Defense League in Benin (LDCB), an association that promotes domestic vegetable gardens.

Two municipalities were chosen, Zogbodomey (120 km north of Cotonou) and Allada (50 km north west of Cotonou) where the BOA agencies of Bohicon and Allada provided 250 households with a corossolier plant and a lemon plant
