With the objective of fulfilling the Strategic Plan to promote the capital and businesses for Small & Medium Enterprises SMEs.

BANK OF AFRICA – TANZANIA in collaborating with Altenative FM Radio (one of the major media houses in the Capital City-Dodoma) organized a VICOBA festival on the 14^th October 2022. VICOBA is an acronym for Village Community Banking, which has become an integral part of the Tanzanian society. The purpose of the VICOBA is to offer a regular savings and loans scheme so as to provide credit to the poor and other low-income earners in the community especially women. The event hosted a total of 500 individuals from 50 VICOBAs.

This festival involved various trainings in financial and project management, business opportunities, networking and awareness on mental health, the turnout was a success with a lot of emphasis kept on account opening focusing on Individual Accounts, Chama Account and issues of SME loan to the community in Dodoma.

The Regional Commission for Dodoma, Hon. Rosemary Senyamule, who was also the guest of honor during the event, acknowledged and thanked the bank for its effort in promoting financial inclusion which goes hand in hand with the Government strategy as explained in the National Financial Inclusion Framework 2018-2022.
