Benoît Maffon was one of the first companions of BOA-BENIN and presided over the destinies of the BOA Foundation in Benin from 1999 to 2021.

He marked the history and action of the institution with his smart mind, always tinged with humor.

Benoît unfortunately left us on 31 August 2021 and a tribute was paid to him in front of all the Group’s top management and Directors in September 2021 in Istanbul.

The Foundation wished to pay him a further tribute by giving his name to one of his achievements.

The public school in Lowo de Savalou, his home region, is now called the Benoît Maffon School Complex.

20 million CFAF (€ 30,000) of works have been invested by the Foundation for the rehabilitation of this school: construction of a fence, rehabilitation of 3 classes of an office, a store, sanitary facilities and a water drilling platform. The works were delivered on 8 December 2022 by Edwige Ahounamenou, the Foundation chairperson and Josita Quenum, BOA-BENIN DMD.

Savalou is located in the centre of Benin, in the Department of Hills, 230 km from Cotonou.
