June 1st is officially Tree Day in Benin.

On this occasion, BOA-BENIN is accompanying for the second time, the “Launch and promotion of domestic vegetable gardens in Benin”.

This year, the operation took place in the city of Pobé (100 km south-east of Cotonou, close to Nigeria) where 250 households each received a soursop tree and a lemon tree.

The League for the Defense of the Consumer in Benin (LDCB), stakeholder of this initiative, decided to popularize these 2 fruit trees in the 77 communes of the country, because of their many natural virtues.
