Renovation for an exceptional school in Benin
My beautiful school is a concept of the BOA Foundation that renovates, rehabilitates and improves existing school facilities.
This is a very special school that has just benefited from this program in Benin.
Indeed, the first public primary school in Dahomey, the current Republic of Benin, has renovated 9 classrooms, 3 offices and shops, a fence and toilets, for a total value of 45 millions FCFA (almost 70,000 euros).
It is in this emblematic school that the training of many Beninese and African personalities began, since its creation in 1902.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Urban School Centre of Porto-Novo deserves special attention. The Foundation has thus ensured the quality of the work and respect for the original architecture in order to maintain the true face of this symbolic place for Benin.
The official presentation took place on 24 October 2023, with the President of the Foundation in Benin.
