Côte d’ivoire : Kick-off of the women’s cancer awareness and screening campaign

On March 7, 2025, the 10th edition of the awareness and free screening campaign for cervical and breast cancer, organized in collaboration with Junior Chamber International Abidjan Ivoire and the NGO Hope Life, was launched at the Maternal and Child Health Center in Agboville, and the Urban Health Center in Rubino, a village 100 km north of Abidjan.
This year, the goal is to raise awareness among and screen over 700 women on the importance of early detection of these cancers, which represent major public health challenges. Healthcare professionals were present to inform and guide participants while offering free screenings. BOA Foundation also seized the opportunity to donate medical equipment with 2 thermoablation devices used in the treatment of precancerous cervical lesions.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve women’s health and reduce mortality rates linked to these diseases. The campaign was warmly welcomed by the local community, underscoring the critical role of prevention and access to care.
