In honor of the International Women’s Day, BANK OF AFRICA (Foundation or Banks), in association with the Junior Chamber International (www.jci.cc/fr) renewed its support to partners from the health sector for the breast and cervical cancerscreening campaign in disadvantaged areas,for the 5thconsecutive year.

For this 2020 edition, our subsidiaries in Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Niger and Senegal participated in the initiative.

All in all have benefitted from the free screening examination, 5% page1image32687808required further medical assessments.

Remember that breast cancer is the leading cause of death in African women, while, that of the cervix is the second most common cancer. Nearly 80% of deaths occur in low-income countries, where access to screening and treatment is limited.

The initiative received high visibility in the press, radio and TV media, social media, as well as throughout each activities, point of sale advertising material, launch ceremonies and press conferences.

Through this Public Health initiative, BANK OF AFRICA Group reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility.
