Zero Plastic Target

To promote environmental protection education, the BANK OF AFRICA Foundation and the Environmental Education and Youth Empowerment (EEYE) have set up the “Zero Plastic Project” in 15 schools in Bamako and Kati.

Training and awareness workshops are being held for 2,500 students and teachers to isolate plastics in dedicated bins.

Then, this waste is recycled by the EEYE Association and the students themselves into useful objects for their own use: buckets, shovels, garbage cans, slates, rulers, chalk boxes etc.

Cleaning supplies were also handed out at the launch ceremony on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Ciwara school in Kati, a city a few kilometres from Bamako.
