In Mali, kidney patients on dialysis have difficulty accessing care, especially at dialysis sessions, because of their high cost. Patients even die just because they cannot pay for their care.

On the occasion of World Kidney Day, March 9, the BANK OF AFRICA Foundation gave 170 dialysis kits (total value 4.5 million FCFA, almost 7,000 €) to the specialized hospital Mali Gavardo in Bamako.

Just under 100 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
