BANK OF AFRICA – GHANA joins the PAN-AFRICAN PAYMENT AND SETTLEMENT SYSTEM (PAPSS)

BANK OF AFRICA – GHANA has partnered with the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS) network to launch a centralized payment and settlement platform to simplify the process of making and receiving payments across Africa.

With PAPSS, customers of BOA-GHANA can enjoy a faster, safer and cheaper means of transferring funds without converting their funds to different currencies.

At the launch, the Managing Director of BANK OF AFRICA – GHANA indicated that BANK OF AFRICA is always poised to explore different avenues to provide new and convenient products and services for its customers. He noted, “Having won the Trade Finance Bank for two consecutive years, I believe that this partnership, coupled with our presence in over 16 countries in Africa and our robust systems and infrastructure, will further strengthen our position as the Trade Bank of Africa.”

Currently, our customers can originate PAPSS transactions from BANK OF AFRICA – GHANA to other banks in the West African Monetary Zone (WAMZ) such as Nigeria, Liberia, Gambia, Guinea and Sierra Leone; and in the near future, to the rest of Africa.
