Staff of BOA-GHANA donated to head porters.

 

As part of their yearly CSR project, Staff of BANK OF AFRICA – GHANA contributed and donated clothes and sanitary pads to some Head Porters popularly known as Kayayee in Agbogbloshie, Accra.

Majority of the Kayayee are women who have relocated to Accra from their homes, primarily from Northern Ghana, to carry goods for customers in market areas. These women are mostly unable to provide necessities such as clothes for themselves and their children. The leader of the Kayayee Youth Association, on behalf of its members, thanked Bank of Africa for their generous contribution.

Millicent Asante –Yeboah, the acting Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication stated that projects such as these are solely managed and organized by Staff of the Bank to support the vulnerable in the society.

Present to make the donation were 10 staff from various Departments and Branches.
